Planning a birthday party can be stressful! Parents are busy and often don't have time to dedicate to planning a kid's birthday party. Many times things are thrown together at the last minute and parents breathe a sign of relief that it's done. Here are a few tips to plan a successful kid's birthday party.
*Start early. It may seem silly to start planning a birthday party months in advance, but things happen and the party is often put on the back burner. If you've planned the birthday party already, the execution should be pretty easy!
*Book your venue. If you're planning a birthday party at a location - book it! You don't want to run the risk your venue won't be available.
*Check in with your child. Make sure all their friends are invited, choose foods and drinks they like and share the ideas for activities. This allows them to feel involved and builds their excitement towards the party.
*Plan for extra guests. Often, families will need to bring a sibling along to the party. And you don’t want anyone to feel left out. A few extra supplies and food will make everyone feel welcome.
*Relax. Parties should be fun. Guests will not know if something didn’t turn out exactly as planned, or if you forgot to buy something. And mom, it’s ok if you forgot something!
